Hello! I am Yiğit Haluk Kurt, an undergraduate student in the
Mechanical Engineering department at Yeditepe University, and I am also a long-term mechanical engineering intern at
Aras Marine. I have been gaining experience as an intern at Aras Marine for over a year now, and during this time I have acquired a comprehensive knowledge in ship systems, energy efficiency, and offshore issues. I have developed a deep understanding of the complex techniques, regulations, and current developments in the maritime industry.
My academic work is heavily focused on Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering and Offshore Renewable Energy Systems. I am particularly working on coastal structures and special-purpose ships. I am striving to specialize in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and I am carrying out various projects in this field.
My internship period at Aras Marine provided an opportunity to apply my academic knowledge in practice, and as a result, to gain more knowledge and skills in the maritime field. During this time, by contributing to Aras Marine's innovative projects, I obtained valuable information about the latest technologies and trends in the industry.
Now, I can confidently say that I possess both the theoretical knowledge and practical experience to solve complex problems in the maritime and offshore engineering field and to continually advance in this area.
My internship at Aras Marine is helping me specialize in this field and prepare for my future career in the maritime industry.
